This is a book for lovers of bees and beekeeping. With its honey coloured wrapper it almost smells of honey. It is an informative read about the work of two beekeepers, one on the roof of his city apartment, one on a farm, written by Michael Lenehan who was executive editor of the Chicago Reader where this essay first appeared in 1977. The book is numbered but not signed. It would make a wonderful gift for a passionate beekeeper.

Designed and printed by Bob McCamant, hand set in 12 and 14pt Cooper Oldstyle and printed on Fabriano Roma Michelangelo. Cloth binding by Ann Repp with blind embossed honeycomb patterned wrapper. Bee ornaments and drop capitals drawn by Albert Richardson, with copper engravings from original drawings of beekeeping equipment by Alice Brown (now Alice Leorna Briggs).
