Christmas Trees by Robert Frost (1874 – 1963)
A letterpress printed chapbook designed by Frost scholar and collector Pat Alger with Abigail Rorer of the Lone Oak Press. Written in 1915 by Frost for a handmade Christmas card, it was first printed in a very limited edition as a Christmas greeting card in 1929 by the Spiral Press. This edition illuminated with the timeless wood engravings of Abigail Rorer commemorates the eightieth anniversary of the very first Robert Frost Christmas Card. Frost produced a Christmas booklet most years between 1934 and 1962.
12 pages with colour endpapers, 152 x 115 mm, printed on Zerkall Book with Deepdene type. Edition of 100 numbered and signed copies. The cover is illustrated with a two block colour engraving with a further four colour engravings within the text.
